Chain Link Fence Weight Calculator
For diamond mesh / cyclone wire fence rolls and panels. Calculates weight per m² and total roll weight.
Internal diagonal of diamond

Formula
kg/m² = π × d² × ρ ÷ (M + d)
where ρ = density (g/cm³), d = wire diameter (mm), M = mesh opening (mm, internal diagonal of the diamond aperture). Derived from wire length per m² = 4,000 ÷ (M + d) meters, accounting for the diagonal wire path at ±45°. Example: 50 mm mesh, 2 mm galvanized wire → ≈ 1.90 kg/m², a 1.8 × 25 m roll ≈ 85 kg.
Theoretical estimate for reference only; confirm with factory before booking freight. Galvanizing adds approximately 3–5% over bare steel weight.
