FAQ

What's the standard chain link fence height?

Residential: 1.2–1.8m. Sports fields: 3.0–4.0m. Industrial security: 2.4–3.6m. Highways and heavy perimeter: 3.0–5.0m. Custom heights up to 6m are possible with heavier wire.

Galvanized vs PVC coated — which is better?

Hot-dip galvanized is the standard for durability and cost. PVC coated adds aesthetics and extra corrosion protection, but costs 30–50% more. For coastal or high-humidity areas, choose PVC coated or Galfan wire. For temporary construction fencing, electro galvanized is sufficient.

Do I need posts and fittings?

Yes — chain link fabric needs terminal posts, line posts, top rail, tension wire, and fittings to install. Most Anping factories supply complete systems including posts and accessories. Specify post diameter, wall thickness, and whether posts are hot-dip galvanized or painted.

What mesh opening for security vs sports?

Security: 50×50mm or 60×60mm with 3.0mm+ wire prevents climbing and cutting. Sports: 50×50mm is standard for ball containment. Farm: 75×75mm or 100×100mm with heavier wire for animal containment.

Can I get chain link with barbed wire on top?

Yes — many factories supply chain link with barbed wire extensions or razor wire brackets for high-security applications. Specify barbed wire type (single or double strand) and blade type if razor wire.

How do I calculate total project cost?

Calculate fence area (length × height) for fabric cost. Add posts every 2.5–3m, top rail, tension wire, gates, and fittings. Use our FOB price calculator to estimate landed cost.
